Play abandoned

HYDERBAD: Heavy rains forced abandonment of play on the first day of the second round in the Coromandel King all-India invitation Moin-ud-Dowla Gold Cup cricket championship here on Sunday.

The four matches scheduled at different grounds in the City were abandoned without a ball being bowled as incessant rains since last night left the playgrounds completely unfit for any action. — Principal Correspondent
