Fast observed

Teaching and non-teaching staff of The American College observed a fast here on Saturday demanding action against the Church of South India Bishop of Madurai Ramnad Diocese for “trying to take over the institution’s administration and property.” Organised by the MUTA and TANSAC units, the staff demanded CB-CID enquiry into the charges. Members of Initiative for Protecting American College and alumni attended the fast. K. John Moses, State general secretary, Janata Dal (Secular), and S. Raja, popular debater, were among those who took part.
