Easy for Madurai XI, PKR HC

Chennai: Madurai XI and PKR Women’s Hockey Club (Gobichettipalayam) recorded comfortable victories in the Winning XI Women’s Club State-level hockey tournament on Sunday at the Mayor Radhakrishnan Stadium.

Madurai XI outplayed Gymkhana (Chennai) by four goals to nil, thanks to a brace by Rasana.

The Gobichettipalalyam squad defeated the host team, Winning XI WHC, by two goals to nil. The results:

Nazarath Club 5 (Sangeetha 2, Kalavivani 2, Muthuselvi) bt Sacred Hearts (TM) 0.

PKR Women’s HC 2 (Banupriya, Nitya) bt Winning XI WHC 0.

Madurai XI 4 (Rasana 2, Pon Tamil Selvi, Geegi Violet Rajakumari) bt Gymkhana (Chennai) 0.
