Raid on timber depots detects tax evasion

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Personnel of the Sales Tax intelligence division conducted raids on 31 major timber depots in the State on Monday to detect tax evasion. A senior official said the raids, conducted simultaneously in various districts, unearthed large scale tax evasion in some of the depots.
