Dalit leader dead

Thiruvananthapuram: Writer and Dalit leader Paul Chirakarode passed away here on Monday after a brief illness. He was 72. He had penned over 67 books in English and Malayalam. Paul is survived by his wife, Karmala, and a son. The cremation will take place at 3 p.m. on August 5 at “Sagans’, Azhamkal, Kallikad near Kattakada. — Staff Reporter
