Chaturvedi takes over as CMD of Power Grid

NEW DELHI: S. K. Chaturvedi took over as the new Chairman and Managing Director of the state-run transmission utility Power Grid Corporation of India . Mr. Chaturvedi, earlier working as Director (Personnel) with state-run NHPC, said that his priority would be to prepare the organisation to meet the challenges posed by the XI Plan targets, especially in view of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh’s initiative to give a big thrust to the distribution and transmission sector. — Special Correspondent
