Aurobindo Pharma drug gets USFDA nod

HYDERABAD: Aurobindo Pharma announced here on Tuesday that it had received the final approval from the U.S. FDA to manufacture and market Alendronate Sodium tablets of 10 mg, 35 mg and 70 mg. These tablets were the generic equivalents of Merck & Co Inc’s Fosamax tablets, which were indicated for the treatment of Osteoporosis (bone disease). — Special Correspondent
