NEW DELHI: Top seed D. Harika defeated young teammate Padmini Rout to maintain her winning run and share the lead with two others after three rounds of the girls’ section in the World junior chess championship at the Turkish town of Gaziantep on Monday. Four other Indian girls — Kruttika Nadig, Mary Ann Gomes, Soumya Swaminathan and R. Preethi — won their games. In the open section, Deep Sengupta pulled off a creditable draw against Slovenian Grandmaster Luka Lenic while Akshayraj Kore held a second GM in as many days after facing Vietnam’s Le Quang Liem.
