Minister escapes unhurt

VILLUPURAM: M. Kandasamy, Social Welfare Minister of Puducherry, escaped with little injuries when his car met with a minor accident at Kaveripakkam near here on Tuesday.

According to the police, Mr. Kandasamy’s car stopped behind a stationary bus of Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation at Kaveripakkam. Another bus coming behind rammed the Minister’s vehicle and the car, in turn, hit the bus that stood in front of it. The car suffered damages in the bonnet and the boot in the impact.

The Minister, who complained of a slight backache, left by another car to Puducherry.
