Three more meet records broken

Madurai: Three more meet records were shattered in men’s section in the second day of the three-day 8th all-India BSNL athletics meet at MGR Race Course stadium here on Wednesday.

Vinod Kumar of UP West set a new meet record in hammer throw by hurling it to a distance of 50.02m bettering the old mark of 38.16m.

Vikas M. Puthran of Karnataka clocked 48.8s in the 400m bettering the old record of 49.0s. V. Rohit of Karnataka set a new meet record in 1,500m by clocking 4:06.3s to better the old mark of 4:11.1s.
