Patel shines for SRMSC

Coimbatore: Huzefa Patel scored 93 in Sri Ramakrishna Mills Sports Club’s 69-run win over Kaleeswara Cricket Club in the CDCA Golden Jubilee T20 cricket tournament for the Aircel Trophy at the TNAU grounds here on Wednesday.

The scores: Coimbatore Raiders CA 147 for seven in 20 overs (E. Ashwin 46) lost to Arumugam CC 148 for seven in 19 overs (S. Sandeep 46, Y. Sunil 36); Wings CC 108 for nine in 20 overs (D. Kannan four for 9) lost to Coimbatore Raiders 109 for three in 16.3 overs (E. Ravi Prasanna 36 not out); Sri Ramakrishna Mills SC 173 for six in 20 overs (Huzefa Patel 93) bt Kaleeswara CC 104 for seven in 20 overs; Rainbow Wizards CC 127 for five in 20 overs (Venkatakrishnan 56) lost to Cosmo Village SA 133 for two in 13.2 overs (Petson Mathews 65 not out, S.M. Sundaresan 48 not out); SIM CC 119 for seven in 20 overs bt Tirupur Textiles 74 in 16.3 overs.

Sri Ramakrishna Trust 126 for five in 20 overs (Siddarth 56) bt PSG Tech 126 for eight (Sri Ramakrishna wins 3-0 in bowl out).

Vijay Nichani of Champions Billiards Academy, Coimbatore, defeated Nazar with relative ease in a Group ‘D’ league clash in the fifth Chinthamani Memorial Open snooker tournament at the S.S. Sports Academy here on Wednesday.

Later, Nichani went down tamely to Varun Kumar 3-0.
