Move to set up port opposed

KANCHEEPURAM: The Thamizhnadu Meenavar Peravai has opposed the proposal to set up a port to import coal at Thazhuthalikuppam on East Coast Road for a 4,000-MW thermal power plant to come up in this region.

It will affect the livelihood of fishermen living in 46 hamlets, it said.
