DVAC search opens TNEB engineer’s bank lockers

ERODE: Sleuths of the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption on Thursday afternoon searched open bank lockers of Tamil Nadu Electricity Board engineer K. G. Natesan, who has been charged with amassing wealth disproportionate to his known sources of income.

According to DVAC sources, the team led by ADSP Girimurugan, obtained Rs. 2.07 lakh from the first locker, Rs. 54 lakh from the second locker and Rs. 30.36 lakh, 2.5 kg of gold bars and 25 documents from the third locker. The team went to two nationalised bank and a Cooperative Department-run bank in Erode.

Earlier, the team had recovered Rs. 2.78 lakh, Malaysian currency, silver ware and 96 documents from his residence in New Teachers’ Colony in Erode.
