NEW DELHI: Merwyn Chen set a meet record while winning the 1,500m freestyle in the 44th Delhi State aquatic championships at the Pacific Sports Complex, Andrews Ganj, on Thursday. Chen clocked 17:25:76 to rewrite the record of 17:42:43 set by Rohit Gupta four years ago. Other winners: Individual: Men: Mayank Diwan (50m breast stroke), Vicky Tokas (100m back stroke), Vicky Tokas (200m butterfly) and Tarun Tokas (100m freestyle). Women: Priyanka Priyadarshini (50m breast stroke), Anwesha Hore (1,500m freestyle), Shloka Joshi (100m back stroke), Kanchan Sherawat (200m butterfly) and Kanchan Sherawat (100m freestyle). Boys I: Mohit Kumar (50m breast stroke), Ashwini Tokas (100m back stroke) and Bhanu Rathi (200m butterfly). Boys II: Rishabh Pawar (400m freestyle), Ashwani Tokas (200m freestyle), Ashish (50m breast stroke), Jayant Mehlawat (100m backstroke) and Himanshu Rathi (200m butterfly). Girls I: Harpreet Kaur (200m freestyle), Aditi (50m breast stroke), Arshita Bhandari (100m back stroke) and Harpreet Kaur (200m butterfly). Girls II: Shivangi Tokas (400m freestyle), Tanushree Bhatt (50m breast stroke), Neetali Tokas (100m back stroke) and Vaishali (200m butterfly).
