India storms into semifinals

BANGALORE: India stormed into the semifinals of the World junior (under-14) tennis championships, stunning Great Britain 2-1 at Prostejov, the Czech Republic, on Wednesday.

The results: India bt Great Britain 2-1 (Digvijay Singh Mehta bt Conor Bunting 6-2, 7-5; Ronit Bisht bt Liam Broady 6-2, 7-6(4); Digvijay & Ramkumar Ramanathan lost to Broady & Jonathan Cornish 1-6, 1-6).
