Hyderabad SAI bags title

VIJAYAWADA: Sports Authority of India (Hyderabad) defeated Rural Development Trust outfit 4-2 in the final of the second Fr. Vincent Ferrer invitational hockey tournament that concluded at RDT Stadium at Anantapur, according to information reaching here on Thursday. Earlier, SAI (Hyd) outplayed SAAP (Tirupati) 2-0 to enter the final.

Superintendent of Police M. K. Singh gave away the prizes and RDT’s associate programme director Moncho Ferrer was the guest of honour.

Women’s u-19 trials

The Krishna District Cricket Association will conduct trials for women under-19 and seniors on August 10 at Siddhartha Medical College grounds. The district team will take part in the inter-district tournament of ACA Central Zone. Those born on or after 1-9-1989 are eligible for under-19 trials. For details contact: K.
