BANGALORE: Smriti Nandan is back with its Devnandan Ubhayker Yuva Sangeet Utsav. This event, running into its 22nd year, presents promising Hindustani classical musicians on August 9 and 10 at the Chowdiah Memorial Hall. This year they will present talented young disciples of maestros – four vocalists and one sarod artist. The opening concert on August 9, 6 p.m. is by Pushkar Lee, disciple of Pt. Vijay Sardeshmukh, which will be followed by Abir Hussain on sarod. On August 10, Koushik Aithal, a student of Pt. Parameshwar Hegde, will start the proceedings.
