Symposium on nano tech begins

‘It is the outcome of advances in areas like quantum mechanics, tunnelling ’


VISAKHAPATNAM: A two-day national symposium on ‘Micro systems, Nano and Nano Engineering’ was inaugurated by Director of National Institute of Technology (Warangal) Y.V. Rao at the GMRIT at Rajam in Srikakulam district on Friday.

He spoke on the impact of nano technology development on society.

He also highlighted the problems challenging the industry that were addressed by nano technology. Principal in-charge of GMRIT C.L.V.R.S.V. Prasad said that nano technology was the outcome of the advances in areas like quantum mechanics, tunnelling and teleportation.

Chief Administrative Officer of the college L.M. Lakshman Murthy explained about the services of GMR Varalakshmi Foundation.

Scientist-E from ARCI, Hyderabad, P.K. Jian and Dr. CSP Rao from NIT, Warangal, spoke.

Organising secretaries R. Srikanth and S. Srikiran gave an overview of the symposium.

Scientists, professors and experts from the industry and research labs from different parts of the country attended.
