Workshop on palliative care

KOZHIKODE: The Indian Association of Palliative Care Kerala (IAPC-K) is organising a two-day workshop on palliative care for those who are involved in various palliative care initiatives across the state on August 9 and 10 at the Youth Hostel here.

As many as 200 members working in different palliative care centres will attend the programme which is aimed to iron out a comprehensive training programme for the volunteers of various palliative care projects, public servants, voluntary organisation members and members of the various local self government institutions.

Kozhikode District Medical Officer (DMO) Dr. A. Baburaj will inaugurate the workshop at 9 a.m. on Saturday. Director of the Institute of Palliative Medicine Dr. Suresh Kumar, ‘Arogya Kerala project’ organising committee member Dr. Jithesh and IAPC-K secretary M.G. Praveen among others will hold different sessions during the workshop.
