Commits suicide

SIVAKASI: A student of Thayilpatti Government Higher Secondary School near here allegedly committed suicide after he was reportedly reprimanded by the school headmaster. Over 400 persons blocked the road in front of the school demanding action against the headmaster.

The police said the headmaster had pulled up the boy for teasing a girl student. He warned of taking stringent action if he continued with the offence. The police registered two cases, one on the death of the boy and another on those who blocked traffic.
