BANGALORE: A 24-year-old woman committed suicide after an alleged argument with her husband over consumption of alcohol. According to Ashok Nagar police, Salma Begum and her husband were returning on a motorcycle to their house in Neelasandra on Thursday. The police imposed a fine on Salma’s husband for allegedly consuming alcohol. They returned home and argued over Salma’s husband consuming alcohol. Late in the night she was found hanging from the ceiling. The Ashok Nagar police have registered a case. Another 24-year-old woman committed suicide by hanging herself to death in her house in Rajagopalnagar police station limits on Thursday. The police said Kamala was allegedly been harassed by her husband Purushottam, who works as a welder. She was married to Purushottam six years ago. The Rajagopalnagar police have arrested Purushottam. TheftThree men waylaid K. Vijayakumar on Cubbon Road and made away with a gold chain worth Rs. 45,000 on Thursday.
