ACTA’s ultimatum to UGC pay review panel

HYDERABAD: The Andhra Pradesh Affiliated College Teachers’ Association (ACTA) on Friday threatened to launch an agitation if the University Grants commission pay review committee did not submit its report by the month-end.

V. Daniah, chairman, and G. Mallikarjuna Rao, general secretary, in a statement issued here said G.K. Chada, chairman of the committee, should present the report by the month-end, as the Centre was also submitting its report by August 31.

They said the committee had already gathered views of many university/college lecturers by July 31.
