Vamshi, Srinivas slam centuries

HYDERABAD: Centuries by V. Vamshi Ram (164, 21x4, 1x6) and G. Srinivas (124 not out, 16x4, 3x6) helped Syndicate Bank record a thumping, 230-run win over Gujarathi CC in the A-Division (two-day) league cricket championship here on Friday.

ENC wins overall title

Eastern Naval Command won the overall title in the four-day Indian Navy aquatic championship at Visakhapatnam on Friday. ENC, with 163 points, pipped holder Southern Naval Command (159 points) to the post. Western Command was the third team in the meet.

Southern had the satisfaction of its swimmer V.R. Shibu being adjudged as the best swimmer of the meet. He won eight gold medals. SNC also won the waterpolo event.

Admiral Superintendent of Naval Dockyard H.S. Malhi gave away the trophies.
