Kadapa restricts Chittoor

VIJAYAWADA: Kadapa restricted Chittoor to 124 in 46.3 overs in the ACA South Zone under-16 inter-district cricket tournament at Anantapur on Friday.

A seven-wicket haul by medium-pacer Jagadish (seven for 43) was the highlight of the day.

In another match, Nellore, in reply to Kurnool’s 257, was tottering at nine for five at the end of the first day’s play.

The scores: Chittoor 124 in 46.3 overs (C.R. Tejeswar 60, Jagadish seven for 43) vs. Kadapa 50 for four in 23 3. overs (A. Surya three for 19); Kurnool 257 in 85.2 overs (Siddhartha Reddy 44, Shabhir 44, Kesava Kumar 39, Leela Mohan Reddy four for 48) vs. Nellore nine for five in seven overs.
