Conor Niland takes title

NEW DELHI: Ireland’s Conor Niland defeated Tomas Cakl of Czech Republic 6-4, 6-4, in the men’s singles final of the $50,000 ATP Challenger tennis tournament at the DLTA Complex here on Saturday.

The results:

Men’s singles (final): Conor Niland bt Tomas Cakl 6-4, 6-4.

Semifinals: Niland bt Brydan Klein (Aus) 6-4, 6-7(2) 6-3; Cakl bt Joshua Goodall (GBR) 4-6, 6-2, 6-4.

Men’s doubles (final): Joshua Goodall & James Ward (GBR) bt Tasuko Iwami and Hiroki Kondo (Jpn) 6-4, 6-1.
