Bangalore: Parents who see a potential actor in their child now have a chance to channelise the talent. Maya Gallery of Contemporary Art, in association with Once Upon A Time, Long, Long Ago and Logos Theatre, will offer regular theatre classes for children in the age group of seven to 14 years. The classes will cover all aspects of theatre, including voice and speech, physical awareness and improvisations. It will also be inter-disciplinary in approach and introduce children to poetry, painting, creative movements, and so on. The classes will be held by Sheila Govindaraj, who has trained at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art and Ecole Philippe Gaulier in Paris. She has worked on international collaborative theatre projects. Arka Mukhopadhyay, founder and creative director of Logos Theatre, will also be one of the facilitators. The classes will commence on September 6. Registrations will end on August 26.
