BANGALORE: Officers of the State Bank groups will stage a protest on August 18 against the merger of State Bank of Saurashtra with State Bank of India. According to a release by the All India State Bank Offices Federation, over 80,000 officers working in 15,000 branches in the country will join the protest against the move. The decision was taken by the federation and the associate bank officer associations in a meeting held recently, the release added. — Staff Reporter
