Notice for “gherao” of Mayor withdrawn

NEW DELHI: The Joint Scheduled Castes and Tribes Teachers’ Manch has withdrawn its notice for a “gherao” of the Mayor this Wednesday following a meeting with Municipal Commissioner K. S. Mehra on Monday.

Additional Commissioner (Education) Janak Digal and senior officials of the Education Department were also present at the meeting. The Commissioner directed the officials of the Education Department to consider the demands of the teachers according to rules and regulations.
