BANGALORE: The Lokayukta police on Monday trapped a clerk working in revenue office in Hosadurga taluk of Chitradurga district while he was allegedly accepting bribe from a physically challenged person. Vailesh sought Rs. 1,000 from Ramalingappa for recommending his name for pension. He allegedly took Rs. 400. He was caught while accepting Rs. 600. SentencedThe Principal District and Sessions Judge, Belgaum, sentenced a second division clerk and an employee of the Karnataka Government Insurance Department to six months of rigorous imprisonment and ordered them to pay a fine of Rs. 600.
