Trade unions’ rally today

A rally will be organised on Wednesday by the sponsoring committee of various trade unions in support of the nationwide strike on August 20.

The rally will start from the Mahatma Gandhi’s Statue near GVMC office at 5.30 p.m. and culminate at the same point after going round the RTC Complex, TSR Complex and B.R. Ambedkar Statue.

The nation-wide strike is being organised in protest against various issues like the anti-people policies of the UPA government, Indo-nuke deal, FDI hike in insurance and retail sectors and disinvestment in the telecom sector.
