Traffic restrictions for Independence Day

Bangalore: The Independence Day Ceremonial Parade will be held at the Field Marshal Manekshaw Parade Grounds on Cubbon Road on Friday at 9 a.m.

According to a press release here on Tuesday, the Bangalore City Traffic Police has made traffic arrangements in and around the grounds. All invitees with yellow car passes can come on Cubbon Road and enter Gate One, facing northern side of the Brigade Parade Ground, and park their vehicles on the western side of Parade Ground.

Invitees with white car passes and the secretaries, military officials, senior police officials can use Gate Two in front of the Military Supply Depot and park their vehicles on north-eastern side of the parade ground.

Invitees with pink passes should park their vehicles at B.R.V. Police Parade Ground, the entry to which is through Mahatma Gandhi Road.

Green car pass holders may park their vehicles in the parking lot on Kamaraja Road and Main Guard Cross Road and enter the parade ground through Gate Three.

All the vehicles carrying people participating in the parade and cultural events may enter the ground through Gate Three.

The vehicles may be parked behind the fort wall inside the Parade Ground on the southern side.

All the government vehicles may enter the parade ground from Gate Three.

The vehicles should be parked behind the participants’ vehicles on the southern side.

All the two-wheelers may be parked on Kamaraja Road (northern side).

The vehicular movement will be diverted on August 15 from 8.30 a.m. to 10.30 a.m. from B.R.V. Junction to Kamaraj Road Junction (both directions) on Cubbon Road.

All vehicles coming from CTO Circle and going towards Manipal Centre on Cubbon Road will have to take a left turn on Central Street at BRV Junction and then turn to Infantry Road, Safina Plaza and take a left turn on Main Guard Cross Road, Dispensary Road, Kamaraj Road and Dickenson Road Junction, take a right towards Kamaraj Road and take a left to Cubbon Road and move towards to Manipal Centre Junction.

The vehicle coming from Manipal Junction going towards CTO Junction on Cubbon Road will have to take a left turn at Kamaraj Road Junction to go towards Cauvery Art and Crafts Circle Junction, turn right to get to Mahatma Gandhi Road, Anil Kumble Circle and turn right at BRV Junction, turn left to get on to CTO Circle.

The vehicles coming from Anil Kumble Circle towards Cubbon Road will go straight on Central Street Junction, take a right towards Infantry Road, Safina Plaza, turn left towards Main Guard Cross Road, Dispensary Road, Kamaraja Road and Dickenson Road Junction, turn right to Kamaraj Road Junction, turn left to get to Cubbon Road and move towards to Manipal Centre Junction.

The vehicles coming from Cauvery Arts and Craft Circle on Mahatma Gandhi Road and going towards Cubbon Road and K.R. Road Junction can go straight on Mahatma Gandhi Road towards Anil Kumble Junction, take a right to get to BRV Junction, turn left to Cubbon Road and on to CTO Circle.
