NEW DELHI: Fifteen officers and other ranks of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) have been awarded the President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service and the Police Medal for Meritorious Service on the occasion of the Independence Day. The President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service has been given to S. Venkataraman, R.D. Kalia and R.S. Punia, all Superintendents of Police. They are posted in different branches of the agency at its headquarters here. Those awarded Police Medal for Meritorious Service are: Madan Mohan Oberoi and Pankaj Kumar Srivastava, both DIGs; Ranjan Biswas, Additional SP in Kolkata; Devendra Singh, A.K. Singh, and Desh Deepak, all Deputy SPs; Suman Kumar, Ram Chander Garvan and A.B. Chaudhary, all Inspectors posted in Delhi; Lakshman Tripathy, Assistant Sub-Inspector in Bhubaneshwar; Gaddam Satyanarayana, head constable in Hyderabad; and Munusamy Subramany, constable posted with the Anti-Corruption branch in Chennai. © Copyright 2000 - 2009 The Hindu |
