Loyola School defeats St. Mary’s HS

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Loyola School (Sreekariyam) defeated St. Mary’s HS (Pattom) by seven wickets to lift the Jaihind Trophy inter-School cricket tournament, organised by the Sree Ta Rama Cricket Academy and Deshiya Vedi, at the Medical College ground, here on Friday.

Batting first, St. Mary’s collapsed in a heap and was dismissed for 75.

Man of the Match Jithin scored an unbeaten 46 as Loyola School romped home in the 15 over losing just three wickets.

The scores: St. Mary’s HS (Pattom) 75 in 18.4 overs (Ali Asgar two for 15) lost to Loyola School (Sreekariyam) 78 for three in 15 overs (Jithin 45 n.o.)
