Vijayakant donates 600 computers

CHENNAI: In the run-up to his birthday on August 25, Desiya Murpokku Dravida Kazhagam founder Vijayakant kicked of a poverty alleviation and employment generation scheme here on Saturday.

He told reporters at his party office that “employment opportunities need to be created in order to remove poverty.” He handed over 600 computers --10 per district for 60 districts (including Puducherry). Along with tables, benches and books, they were handed over to DMDK district functionaries.
