Chennai man drowns in Goa beach

PANAJI: Tulsi Raman (52), a railway employee from Chennai, who was on a Goa tour along with a group of friends, drowned in Calangute beach of north Goa on Sunday.

Calangute police said Mr. Raman was rescued by the locals and he was admitted by the police to Calangute primary health centre where he was declared dead.

The body was kept at the mortuary at the Goa Medical College Hospital at Bambolim in north Goa.

The family of the deceased has been informed of the tragedy.
