BANGALORE: The Karnataka High Court on Monday adjourned to August 25 petitions by several schools challenging a Government Order derecognising them for failing to follow the State policy on medium of instruction. Scores of schools in the State were derecognised when the jurisdictional Deputy Director of Public Instruction (DDPI) found that they were teaching in English-medium though they had not been permitted to teach in that language. — Staff Reporter © Copyright 2000 - 2009 The Hindu |
