Training for school dropouts

New Delhi: In an ambitious programme, over 1,00,000 school dropouts, construction workers, security guards and employees from travel and tourism trade will be able to enhance their professional skill under a joint initiative of the Indira Gandhi Open University and industry body CII.

As per a memorandum of understanding signed between the two, over 2000 IGNOU study centres would enrol workers and school-drops throughout the country and give them professional training leading to award of certificates and diplomas.
