New Delhi: Four men accompanying a badly injured person opened fire in air at a private hospital here after a brawl with hospital staff, police said on Monday. The incident took place at Indian Hospital in Shalimar Bagh on Sunday night when some persons brought in a badly injured man at the emergency ward of the hospital for treatment. Four unidentified men arrived at the casualty ward of the hospital with the injured man and demanded that he should be immediately admitted, police said. When the staff asked about the identity of the patient for completing paper work, they reportedly refused to divulge details and allegedly fired in air and broke the glass door of the hospital, police said. © Copyright 2000 - 2009 The Hindu |
