Folklore seminar

Kozhikode: The Calicut University Centre for Folklore Studies, in association with the Folklore Fellows of Malabar (Trust), Payyannur, will organise a one-day seminar on ‘Health tourism and folklore’ in connection with Folklore Day celebrations at Town Hall here on Friday. Mayor M. Bhaskaran will inaugurate the celebrations and Calicut University Vice-Chancellor Anwar Jahan Zuberi will inaugurate the seminar. District Tourism Promotion Council (DTPC) secretary B. Anand will be the moderator. Kerala Institute of Tourism and Travel Studies principal B. Vijayakumar will present a paper on ‘Health Tourism.’ Raghavan Payyanad, Head, Centre for Folklore Studies, will present a paper on ‘Tourism as an industry.’ Those interested should contact 9447418602. — Staff Reporter
