Rajaram’s effort in vain

Tuticorin: Rajaram’s five for 23 went in vain as Tuticorin beat Villupuram by one run in the TNCA inter-district under-16 cricket tournament at Tuticorin on Tuesday.

The scores: Tuticorin 113 in 28.5 overs (Suraj 28, Rajaram five for 23) bt Villupuram 112 in 34 overs (Kishore four for 15, Suraj three for 16); Thanjavur 88 in 35 overs (Venkatesan five for 15) lost to Dharmapuri 89 for six in 28.4 overs (G. Sathish 26, Niranjan four for 17).

Santhip bags six wkts.

R. Santhip six for nine helped Infant Jesus Engineering College defeat Veerachettiar Engineering College by one run in the ICL Trophy inter-collegiate cricket tournament at Tirunelveli on Tuesday.
