Man arrested

BIJAPUR: Acting on a tip-off, the Basavan Bagewadi police seized 35 kg of sandal wood worth Rs. 56,000 and arrested one person in this connection on Monday night.

The person arrested has been identified as Deshappa Paranshikari, a resident of Gadag district.

A case has been registered at Basavan Bagewadi police station, and further investigations are on.
