Yin Jian earns China’s first sailing gold

QINGDAO (China): Chinese windsurfer Yin Jian won the host nation’s first-ever Olympic sailing gold medal with her win in the women’s RS:X class. The 29-year-old Chinese sailor stunned her rivals with three straight wins followed by two third places in the 10-race opening series. — AP
