Chess trials

HYDERABAD: The Ranga Reddy District Chess Association will conduct trials for boys’ and girls’ (u-17) at the Maharshi Vidyamandir, near Novotel Hotel, Kondapur, on August 28. The top four players from each category will be picked for the State u-17 boys’ and girls’ chess championship, here from September 5 to 7.

Boys are girls born on or after 1-1-1991 are eligible for the qualifying and State events. For details call, Major K.A. Shiva Prasad (98667 02431) and Kameswara Rao, PET, Maharshi Vidyamandir (94912 16558).

A prize money Open tournament will be also be held at the same venue on August 23 and 24. Those interested may contact Kameswara Rao.
