Kiran in last four

KOCHI: Ernakulam’s Kiran George bounced back after losing a close first game to enter the semifinals in the under-10 boys’ section of the BPCL-Kochi Refinery all-Kerala junior badminton tournament at the Kochi Refinery Stadium, Ambalamugal, on Friday.

The semifinals will be an all-Ernakulam affair with Roshan K. Victor, Harigovind and Evaan John Abraham also making the grade.

The results: Under-10 boys’ quarterfinals: Kiran George bt Mohammed Faizan 21-23, 21-17, 21-14; Roshan K. Victor w/o Vipin Das; Harigovind bt Amrit A. Bhaskar 21-17, 21-16; Evaan John Abraham bt Amit Bennen 21-3, 21-9.
