Semifinalists spotted

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Defending champion Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam, Idukki and Alappuzha completed the semifinals line-up in the men’s section of the State cycle polo championships at the Mar Ivanios College ground, here on Friday.

In the women’s section, Thiruvananthapuram, Idukki, Pathanaamthitta and Alappuzha entered the last-four stage.

The results: League: Men: Thiruvananthapuram bt Kasaragode 6-2; Ernakulam bt Pathanamthitta 8-4; Idukki bt Malappuram 7-3; Kollam drew Kozhikode 1-1.

Boys: Juniors: Thiruvananthapruam bt Kasaragode 6-2, Ernakulam bt Kottayam 6-2; Kozhikode bt Kannur 4-0, Alappuzha bt Wayanad 7-1. Sub-juniors: Thiruvananthapuram bt Kozhikode 9-4; Idukki bt Thrissur 2-0, Thrissur bt Wayand 4-2.

Women: Idukki bt Pathanamthita 4-1; Alappuzha bt Kozhikode 3-1.

Junior girls: Idukki drew with Kozhikode 1-1, Pathanamthitta bt Kannur 7-0; Idukki bt Kozhikode 2-1.
