Colonel, 3 jawans killed in encounter

Srinagar/New Delhi: A Colonel and three jawans were killed in an encounter with suspected foreign militants in Macchal sector of northern Kashmir on Friday. Col. J.J. Joseph, commanding officer of the 45 Rashtriya Rifles, was evacuated to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. — PTI
