Not my concern, says Mamata

KOLKATA: Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee said here that it was not her concern how Tata Group Chairman Ratan Tata decides on the future of the Tata Motors’ project at Singur.

She, however, said later, “We do not want anyone to go away from Bengal.”

Ms. Banerjee said she would go ahead with the “indefinite” agitation outside the project area from August 24 until 400 acres of land, allegedly acquired without the owners’ consent, was given back to the owners.

“If anyone wants to blackmail us we are not going to surrender,” she added.
