Southern Railway Chief Commercial Manager takes over

K.V. Narayana Das belongs to the 1975 batch of the Indian Railway Traffic Service


CHENNAI: K.V. Narayana Das assumed charge as the new Chief Commercial Manager of Southern Railway. He belongs to the 1975 batch of the Indian Railway Traffic Service.

Mr.Das has worked in the Traffic/Commercial Department and worked in South Central, South Western Railways in various capacities and also served Chief General Manager in Centre for Railway Information System (CRIS) in Hyderabad.

Prior to his assuming charge as Chief Commercial Manager, Southern Railway, he served as Chief Commercial Manager, West Central Railway, Jabalpur.

Train timings

Southern Railway will run the following special trains to clear the extra rush of passengers in connection with ’Velankanni Arockiya Matha’ Festival.

Tiruchi - Chennai Egmore Special: Train.No. 0630 Tiruchi- Chennai Egmore Special will leave Tiruchi at 11.15 p.m. on August 24 and arrive Chennai Egmore at 8.50 a.m. the next day. The train will stop at Srirangam, Lalgudi, Ariyalur, Virudachalam, Villupuram, Tindivanam, Melmaruvathur, Chengalpattu, Tambaram and Mambalam.

Chennai Egmore – Tuticorin Special: Train.No. 0685 Chennai Egmore – Tuticorin Special will leave Chennai Egmore at 6.40 p.m.on August 25 and arrive Tuticorin at 6.30 a.m. the next day. The train will stop at Tambaram, Chengalpattu, Melmaruvathur, Tindivanam, Villupuram, Vridhachalam, Tiruchchirappalli, Dindigul, Madurai, Virudunagar, Sattur, Kovilpatti, Vanchi Maniyachchi, Milavittan and Tuti-Melur.

Tuticorin – Tiruvarur – Tuticorin Specials: Train.No. 0609 Tuticorin –Tiruvarur Special will leave Tuticorin at 9 p.m.on August 28 and arrive Tiruvarur at 5.15 a.m. the next day. Train.No.0610 Tiruvarur – Tuticorin Special will leave Tiruvarur at 10.15 p.m.on August 29 and arrive Tuticorin at 6.30 a.m. the next day. The trains will stop at Milavittan, Vanchi Maniyachi, Kovilpatti, Sattur, Virudunagar, Madurai, Dindigul, Tiruchchirappallii, Tiruverumbur, Budalur and Thanjavur. Train.No.0610 will stop at Tuli-Melur. Advanced reservation will begin on August 23.
