MBA, MCA entrance test results announced

Bangalore: The Karnataka PGCET Cell on Saturday announced the results of the entrance test conducted for postgraduate courses in MBA and MCA offered by various institutions and universities in the State.

Of the 22,895 candidates who appeared for MBA entrance test, 21,906 have been assigned with ranks. Similarly, 5,345 aspirants for the MCA course have been assigned with ranks of the 5,913 who appeared for the test. There are about 6,400 MBA seats and 2,100 MCA seats available for selection for this academic year.

The candidates can obtain information about their ranks through SMS.

However, this facility is available only to BSNL customers.

To get rank and date of counselling through SMS, one has type PGCET followed by a space, then type their hallticket number and SMS it to 56505.

Candidates will not be sent personal intimation on date of counselling, said a release from the cell.

Meanwhile, counselling for selection of MBA seats will commence from August 25 at two locations — Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum, and M.S. Ramaiah Institute of Technology, Bangalore.

However, the candidates will have to appear before the counselling authorities with for original document verification one day before their counselling date, based on their rank list and date of counselling announced in the website: www.vtu.ac.in or http://pgcet.vtu.ac.in.

The counselling for the MCA courses will commence from September 9.
