Tamil Nadu begins in style

HYDERABAD: Defending champion Tamil Nadu began it’s campaign in style with a 3-0 win over Services ‘B’ in Pool A of the 56th senior National inter-State squash championship here on Sunday.

For Andhra Pradesh it was an evening to forget as West Bengal recorded an easy 3-0 win in a Pool D match.

The teams will feature in a round-robin in this stage in each Pool and the winner in each of the four pools will qualify for the semifinals.

The results:

Pool A: Tamil Nadu bt Services ‘B’ 3-0 (Harinderpal Singh bt Arjun Agnihotri 11-7, 11-3, 11-4; Naresh Kumar bt Ashish Keskar 11-6, 11-4, 11-9; Ravi Dixit bt Vicky Gagat 11-5, 11-1, 11-1).
